Amazing Foodscapes Art : Landscapes Created with Eatables by Carl Warner (19 pics)

British photographer Carl Warner creates amazing foodscapes: landscapes constructed entirely from fruits and vegetables, cheeses, breads, fish, meat and grains. At first glance the landscapes look real, and it is only on second glance that the viewer realises that the scenes are made entirely out of food. A book of his work, entitled Carl Warner’s Food Landscapes, is published by Abrams and is available at all good book stores and via Amazon

The Chocolate Express is pictured at St Pancras International Station to mark the launch of his book “Carl Warner’s Food Landscapes”. The Chocolate Express is a a real-life landscape constructed entirely out of chocolate, that Carl has crafted specially for the launch

…Featuring a chocolate locomotive that would have once graced the Barlow Shed, The Chocolate Express will journey from the station to Chocolate Unwrapped for Chocolate Week (16/17th October) and then to the New York Chocolate Show. Picture: Ally Carmichael

Often compared to a modern day Guiseppe Arcimboldo, Carl Warner offers visitors to St Pancras International a very different way of getting their five a day. In this gallery, we look at some of the foodscapes he has produced over the years Picture: CARL WARNER

Coralscape: an underwater scene with coral made of broccoli, tropical fish made of various fruits and vegetables, and a pineapple island Picture: CARL WARNER

Autumn Flakes: an autumnal landscape made enirely out of breakfast cereals

A peapod boat sails away from a land made of bread and potatoes, over a sea of salmon

Bread and cheese: an edible landscape

Hot air balloons made of a variety of fruit and veg soar over fields of asparagus, courgettes, beans and corn

Parmesan cliffs with sweet potato boulders and cress and savoy cabbage foliage under a red cabbage sky

A farmyard scene with coconut haystacks

He spends a lot of time staring at vegetables in supermarkets, which can make him seem a little odd. However, finding the right shaped broccoli to use for a tree is an all-important task

Fishscape: with rocks made of oyster shells and crab claws, boats made of marrows and asparagus, and a shining, slivery, slippery sea of fish

A market scene commissioned by Sacla

Two landscapes in which everything you can see is made of cold meats or bread

A kitchen scene produced for Sacla, complete with pasta cushions and curtains

A boat made of half a marrow, some asparagus spears and a few olives braves a dark, stormy red cabbage ocean

An underwater cave scene, complete with carrot stalactites, a peapod boat, and sealife made of exotic fruits, cauliflower and broccoli

Garlicshire: a village for lovers of garlic and cabbage
