OSHO DISCOURSE ON LOVE

Osho discourse on Love

Question : What is Love?
Osho : It depends. There are as many loves as there are people. Love is a hierarchy, from the lowest rung to the highest, from sex to superconsciousness. There are many many layers, many planes of love. It all depends on you. If you are existing on the lowest rung, you will have a totally different idea of love than the person who is existing on the highest rung. Adolf Hitler will have one idea of love, Gautam Buddha another; and they will be diametrically opposite, because they are at two extremes.

At the lowest, love is a kind of politics, power politics. Wherever love is contaminated by the idea of domination, it is politics. Whether you call it politics or not is not the question, it is political. And millions of people never know anything about love except this politics -- the politics that exists between husbands and wives, boyfriends and girlfriends. It is politics, the whole thing is political: you want to dominate the other, you enjoy domination. And love is nothing but politics sugar-coated, a bitter pill sugar-coated.

You talk about love but the deep desire is to exploit the other. And I am not saying that you are doing it deliberately or consciously. People are falling in love with horses, dogs, animals, machines, things. Why? Because to be in love with human beings has become an utter hell, a continuous conflict -- nagging, always at each other's throats. This is the lowest form of love. Nothing is wrong with it if you can use it as a steppingstone , if you can use it as a meditation.

If you can watch it, if you try to understand it, in that very understanding you will reach another rung, you will start moving upwards. Only at the highest peak, when love is not a relationship any more, when love becomes a state of your being, the lotus opens totally and great perfume is released -- but only at the highest peak. At its lowest, love is just a political relationship. At its highest, love is a religious state of consciousness. I love you too, Buddha loves, Jesus loves, but their love demands nothing in return.

Their love is given for the sheer joy of giving it; it is not a bargain. Hence the radiant beauty of it, hence the transcendental beauty of it. It surpasses all the joys that you have known. When I talk about love, I am talking about love as a state. It is unaddressed: you don't love this person or that person, you simply love. You are love. Rather than saying that you love somebody, it will be better to say you are love. So whosoever is capable of
partaking, can partake.

Whosoever is capable of drinking out of your infinite sources of being, you are available -- you are available unconditionally. That is possible only if love becomes more and more meditative. `Medicine' and `meditation' come from the same root. Love as you know it is a kind of disease: it needs the medicine of meditation. If it passes through meditation, it is purified. And the more purified it is, the more ecstatic.

Nancy was having coffee with Helen.
Nancy asked, "How do you know your husband loves you?"
"He takes out the garbage every morning."
"That's not love. That's good housekeeping."
"My husband gives me all the spending money I need."
"That's not love. That's generosity."
"My husband never looks at other women."
"That's not love. That's poor vision."
"John always opens the door for me."
"That's not love. That's good manners."
"John kisses me even when I've eaten garlic and I have curlers in my hair."
"Now, that's love."

Everybody has their own idea of love. And only when you come to the state where all ideas about love have disappeared, where love is no more an idea but simply your being, then only will you know its freedom. Then love is God. Then love is the ultimate truth. Let your love move through the process of meditation. Watch it: watch the cunning ways of your mind, watch your power-politics. And nothing else except continuous watching and observing is going to help.

When you say something to your woman or your man, look at it: what is the unconscious motive? Why are you saying it? Is there some motive? Then what is it? Be conscious of that motive, bring it to consciousness -- because this is one of the secret keys for transforming your life: anything that becomes conscious disappears. Your motives remain unconscious, that's why you remain in their grip. Make them conscious, bring them to light, and they will disappear.

It is as if you pull up a tree and bring the roots to the sunlight: they will die, they can exist only in the darkness of the soil. Your motives also exist only in the darkness of your unconsciousness. So the only way to transform your love is to bring all the motivations from the unconscious into the conscious. Slowly slowly, those motives will die. And when love is unmotivated, then love is the greatest thing that can ever happen to anybody. Then love is something of the ultimate, of the beyond.

That is the meaning when Jesus says, "God is love." I say to you: Love is God. God can be forgotten, but don't forget love -- because it is the purification of love that will bring you to God. If you forget about God completely, nothing is lost. But don't forget love, because love is the bridge. Love is the process of alchemical change in your consciousness.

ELEVEN IMPORTANT LESSONS IN LIFE

ELEVEN IMPORTANT LESSONS IN LIFE
1. ATTITUDE IS WHAT LIFE IS ALL ABOUT.......

SOLDIER : SIR WE ARE SURROUNDED FROM ALL SIDES BY ENEMIES ,
MAJOR : EXCELLENT ! WE CAN ATTACK IN ANY DIRECTION.

2. EVERY ONE KNOWS ABOUT ALEXANDER GRRAHAMBELL WHO INVENTED PHONES, BUT HE NEVER MADE A CALL TO HIS FAMILY. BECAUSE HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTER WERE DEAF. THAT'S LIFE " LIVE FOR OTHERS " .

3. THE WORST IN LIFE IS "ATTACHMENT " ITS HURT WHEN YOU LOSE IT. THE BEST THING IN LIFE IS " LONELINESS " BECAUSE IT TEACHES YOUEVERYTHING AND WHEN YOU LOSE IT. YOU GET EVERYTHING.

4. LIFE IS NOT ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO ACT TRUE TO YOUR FACE ........ ITS ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO REMAIN TRUE BEHIND YOUR BACK .

5. EGG BROKEN FROM OUTSIDE FORCE........A LIFE ENDS . IF AN EGG BREAKS FROM WITHIN.......LIFE BEGINS . GREAT THINGS ALWAYS BEGAN FROM WITHIN .

6. ITS BETTER TO LOSE YOUR EGO TO THE ONE YOU LOVE. THEN TO LOSE THE ONE YOU LOVE ....... BECAUSE OF EGO .

7. A RELATIONSHIP DOESN'T SHINE BY JUST SHAKING HANDS ON BEST TIME. BUT IT BLOSSOMS BY HOLDING FIRMLY IN CRITICAL SITUATION .

8. HEATED GOLD BECOMES ORNAMENTS. BETTED COPPER BECOMES WIRES. DEPLETED STONE BECOMES STATUE. SO THE MORE PAIN YOU GET IN YOUR LIFE YOU BECOME MORE VALUABLE.

9. WHY WE HAVE SO MANY TEMPLES , IF GOD IS EVERYWHERE ? A WISE MAN SAID : AIR IS EVERYWHERE , BUT WE STILL NEED A FAN TO FEEL IT .

10. TOLERATION IS THE GREATEST GIFT OF THE MIND : IT REQUIRES THE SAME EFFORT OF THE BRAIN THAT IT TAKES TO BALANCE ONESELF ON A BICYCLE ..

11. WHEN YOU TRUST SOMEONE TRUST HIM COMPLETELY WITHOUT ANY DOUBT.............. AT THE END YOU WOULD GET ONE OF THE TWO : EITHER A LESSON FOR YOUR LIFE OR A VERY GOOD PERSON .

Life ends; when you stop Dreaming,
Hope ends; when you stop Believing,
Love ends; when you stop Caring,

And Friendship ends; when you stop Sharing..!!!

The Discipline of Transcendence - OSHO

* Buddha says: If your heart is ready, if you have experienced life and the pain of it, if you have suffered life and understood the frustration of it and your heart is ready to move to the other shore — you have experienced this shore and have found that it is just empty, just illusory — if you are ready to move to the other shore without looking backwards, not even a slight desire for this shore has remained in your being, then you are ready.
* Then Buddha says: You are free of all discipline. Then there is no need; then this much is enough: your heart is in accord with the Way. Discipline will come; this is enough. Discipline is needed because your heart is not in accord with the Way. “But then,” Buddha says, “that discipline is not of much use.
* ”Remember, Buddha is not ready to take you on the Way if you are immature. Maturity is a must. And what do I mean by ‘maturity’? By ‘maturity’ I mean: a man who has looked into life and found that this is just a dream. When the reality that you think is real starts looking like a dream, you are mature. Then it is very simple to move to the other shore alone — there will be no difficulty; your heart will be in accord with the Way.
* You can go dancing, you can go singing, you can go laughing… you can go joyous, cheerful. You will not go reluctantly, you will not go resistantly, you will not go against yourself. In fact, you will not be going; you will simply be moving with the stream, like timber.

Cosmic Joke

You see a person and you smile. You smile for him. One should smile only for oneself. If others share, good. If nobody shares, good. But one should smile of one's own accord. One should not laugh to make somebody else happy, because if you are not happy, you cannot make anybody happy. Even if you are happy, it is very difficult to make somebody else happy because it depends on that somebody else as to whether he will accept it or not. One should simply laugh of one's own accord, and one should not wait for reasons to laugh. That too is absurd. Why wait for reasons? Life as it is should be enough of a reason to laugh. It is so absurd, it is so ridiculous. It is so beautiful... it is so wonderful. It is all sorts of things together. It is a great cosmic joke.

LET GO AND LET GOD - BY SHANNON BRYANT

Have you ever applied for a dream job, knowing tha...t you were fully qualified and deserving, had a great interview, but—to your surprise—didn’t get the position? Yes, it could have been that someone else had better qualifications, more experience in the industry, or an inside connection, but more than likely you were too attached to the outcome of the situation to actually allow it in. When your desire for something is so strong that you are totally attached to it, your energy can have an adverse effect on the outcome and push the opportunity away. It would serve you best, instead, to let go.
Letting go is not always an easy thing for us to do. It’s natural to become attached to both the physical and emotional aspects of our lives: old clothes, our first home, an idea of how a relationship should be, our way of looking at the world, our youth… and the list goes on. However, releasing what doesn’t serve us anymore is exactly what we need to do in order to provide space for fresh experiences, new people in our lives, and personal growth.

It’s hard to let in the new when we are holding so tightly to the old. A great example of this is when we so badly want to meet someone special while we are still stuck on a person or relationship from the past. We wonder: why aren’t we meeting our perfect soul mate? But when we hold on emotionally to a past relationship it makes it near impossible to attract a new or healthy one to our life.

Letting go can be quite difficult, but with practice it does get easier. A wonderful place to start is with your closet. Find old clothes, books, and decorations you never use anymore and give them away. It’s amazing how we tend to hoard things in the back of our closets for months, years, or even decades, afraid to set them free. Yet your closet is symbolic of space in your life and this exercise of “releasing” will translate into other areas of your life as well.

One of the ultimate freedoms is the ability to let go of heavy negative feelings such as anger, judgment, and resentment. Such feelings take up a lot of space in your psyche, and it’s critical to your emotional and physical health that you release them. You should be able to make significant headway if you are committed to looking honestly within and doing some personal work, either on your own or with a counselor.

The lessons we learn in letting go, or even in not letting go, are abundant. If you hold on too tightly to people and things, you squeeze out the flow of life and risk losing what’s important to you. However, if you are able to release your grip and let go of old situations, emotions, and anything that doesn’t work for you anymore, the universe will send you an ocean of new experiences, people, and things that will keep your life fresh and flowing forever.

LOVE AND HATE

A kindergarten teacher has decided to let her class play a game.

The teacher told each child in the class to bring along a plastic bag containing a few potatoes.

Each potato will be given a name of a person that the child hates,

So the number of potatoes that a child will put in his/her plastic bag will depend on the number of people he/she hates.

So when the day came, every child brought some potatoes with the name of the people he/she hated. Some had 2 potatoes; some 3 while some up to 5 potatoes. The teacher then told the children to carry with them the potatoes in the plastic bag wherever they go (even to the toilet) for 1 week.

Days after days passed by, and the children started to complain due to the unpleasant smell let out by the rotten potatoes. Besides, those having 5 potatoes also had to carry heavier bags. After 1 week, the children were relieved because the game had finally ended....

The teacher asked: "How did you feel while carrying the potatoes with you for 1 week?". The children let out their frustrations and started complaining of the trouble that they had to go through having to carry the heavy and smelly potatoes wherever they go.

Then the teacher told them the hidden meaning behind the game. The teacher said: "This is exactly the situation when you carry your hatred for somebody inside your heart. The stench of hatred will contaminate your heart and you will carry it with you wherever you go. If you cannot tolerate the smell of rotten potatoes for just 1 week, can you imagine what is it like to have the stench of hatred in your heart for your lifetime???"

Moral of the story: Throw away any hatred for anyone from your heart so that you will not carry sins for a lifetime. Forgiving others is the best attitude to take!

The Hold Of Routines by Rosiey Bhatia

Recognize your routines. Check your entire week. What spaces or moments do you have in the entire week when you do not have a responsibility to work or family? What are the habits or hobbies that you indulge in those moments? What experiments can you do to see how you might change these habits and do something different in those moments?

Question the living patterns of your week. How much of your time is spent ordinarily because there is a lack of eagerness to do something different? Are you learning from each day? Does each day hold any moments of special importance, such as keeping a promise to yourself or to another?
Prioritize the things that fulfill you most. Do you have any unrealized hopes or promises? These may be simple things, like finding time to visit an old friend, reading a good book on positivity or spirituality, visiting a welfare organization or serving people in some other positive ways, meditation etc. Include them in the daily pattern.

Realising Your Purpose

Realizing Your Purpose

You are a source of the most powerful energy on the planet because you have a mind and an intellect, which has the capacity to create thoughts, ideas and actions. If however, there is no purpose (aim and objective) to your creativity, no focus or direction, your energy and your power will leak out in a variety of directions. You will be left with a drained feeling and the subtle guilt that you wasted precious time and energy. Just as a light bulb focuses and radiates the energy of electricity, so a clear purpose focuses and radiates the power of the self. Take time out to consider your purpose in life and then how you can translate that purpose into your day, everyday. You will see your purpose in your mind’s eye. One day it will occur to you, perhaps unexpectedly, perhaps in one single thought, or a clear single image of stunning clarity (accuracy), but you will know it with a certainty that needs no questioning.

THE 12 LAWS OF KARMA

THE 12 LAWS OF KARMA

UNIVERSAL LAW

...As you sow, so shall you reap.

This is also known as the Law of Cause and Effect.

Whatever we put out in the Universe is what comes back to us.If what we want is Happiness, Peace, Friendship, Love...
Then we should BE Happy, Peaceful, Loving, a Friend.

THE LAW OF CREATION

Life doesn't just HAPPEN, it requires our participation. We are one with the Universe both inside and out.Whatever surrounds us gives us clues to our inner state.BE and DO yourself...what you what to have in your Life.

THE LAW OF HUMILITY

What you refuse to accept, will continue for you.If what we see is an enemy, or someone with a character trait that we find to be negative, then we ourselves are not focused on a higher level of existence.

THE LAW OF GROWTH

Wherever you go, there you are.For us to GROW in Spirit it is we who must change and not the people, places or things around us.The only given we have in our lives is OURSELVES and that is the only factor we have control over. When we change who and what we are within our heart
our life changes too.

THE LAW OF RESPONSIBILITY

Whenever there is something wrong, there is something wrong in me.We mirror what surrounds us and what surrounds us mirrors us We must take responsibility what is in our life.

THE LAW OF CONNECTION

Even if something we do seems inconsequential, it is very important that it gets done
as everything in the Universe is connected. Each step leads to the next step and so forth and so on.Someone must do the initial work to get a job done.
Neither the first step nor the last are of greater significanceThey were both needed to accomplish the task.Past, Present, FutureThey are all connected...

THE LAW OF FOCUS

You can't think of two things at the same time. When our focus is on Spiritual Values it is impossible for us to have lower thoughts such as greed or anger.

THE LAW OF GIVING AND HOSPITALITY

If you believe something to be true, then sometime in your life you will be called upon to demonstrate that truth. Here is where we put what we SAY that we have learnedinto PRACTICE.

THE LAW OF HERE AND NOW

Looking back to examine what was, prevents us from being totally in the HERE AND NOW.Old thoughts, old patterns of behavior, old dreams...
Prevent us from having new ones.

THE LAW OF CHANGE

History repeats itself until we learn the lessons that we needto change our path.

THE LAW OF PATIENCE AND REWARD

All Rewards require initial toil.Rewards of lasting value require patient and persistent toil.True Joy follows doing what we're suppose to be doing and waiting for the Reward to come in it's on time.

THE LAW OF SIGNIFICANCE AND INSPIRATION

You get back from something whateveryou've put into itThe Value of something is a direct result of the energy and intent that is put into it.Every personal contribution is also a contribution to the WholeLack luster Contributions have no impact on the Whole or work to diminish it.Loving Contributions Lift Up and Inspire the Whole

Being An Effective Manager

Being An Effective Manager

It is interesting to see how water is a symbol for our consciousness, our self. Just as water has the ability to take many forms according to the place, space and immediate environment, so our consciousness can take many forms according to what is seen to be the need of the moment. Knowing what form to take in different situations at the workplace (office) will determine how effective a manager you are. Here are a few 'ways of water' that correspond to possible states of being.

1. You can be like ice, solid and stable, and able to support others as they face and go through their life challenges and occasional (once in a while) crisis (problem).
2. You can be like a fountain, available and able to quench (fulfill) the thirst of others for understanding and knowledge. But for this you must have drunk at your own fountain for some time (you should have understood and experienced spiritual knowledge first).
3. You can be like a cloud, raining your knowledge and experience across a wide area reaching many parts, places and people.
4. You can be like a lake. When the lake is calm and still it is like glass as it perfectly reflects both mountain and sky. When you are calm and still, you provide the perfect mirror for others to see and know themselves with absolute clarity (clearness).
5. You can be like snow, lightly sprinkling (showering) the coolness of your spiritual qualities on all, and in so doing helping to cool the angriest people around you.

Gurudom in India - A New Fasion

GURUDOM in India is not only a new fashion, has generally become a bigg industry........ their NGOs are purely commercial concerns and the surprising fact is this that the emotionally unstable simple people are being exploited in the name of SEVA for projecting the image of so-called Gurus as well as for production, marketing and advertising of their costly products - that too without making any remuneration to to them .In-spite of their exposure in various sting operations, people still follow them blindly.......Exorbitant fee is being charged for various courses.... Some Ashrams on grabbed land have become shelters for criminals and all anti -social activities.....exploitation of women...frauds...extortion... !this is all is known from various sting operations and media.....but still some people not only follow such Gurus blindly, the politicians and people in power also support and protect such Gurus for their own vested interests...Yes , there are real saint and divine being also..... for the sanctity of noble seat they should take initiative at their own to expose such so-called Gurus....

Various Symptoms (Meaning of Peace

Various Synonyms (Meanings) Of Peace.

Peace has a number of synonyms, which all have slightly different shades of meaning:

Serenity
The feeling of contentment and being completely full with no need for further additions to the self; a feeling of satisfaction, of wholeness of the self.

Calmness
There are no disturbances or waves in the mind, like a pool of water that is clear and still with not even a ripple to disturb it.

Tranquility
Tranquility is the state of harmony in nature and in ourselves that keeps everything in balance naturally.

Quietness
In this state, there are no sounds of uncontrolled thoughts jumping around like a monkey in the mind; our thoughts become essenceful, returning to the point, with no expansion; it is an economy of thinking that creates quietness.

Stillness
There is no movement of thoughts. I remain absorbed in one thought and, in the stillness of silence, I am at rest, with a feeling of complete detachment from everything.

Peace has the meaning of harmony, balance, order and freedom: when we are free from waste and negativity, then we exist fully serene, fully at peace with everything.

Peace is my original energy and treasure and with the practice of meditation I step inside and experience it.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Ravi Shankar, usually known as Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, born Ravi Shankar Ratnam, on May 13, 1956, in Tamil Nadu, India, is a spiritual leader and founder of the Art of Living Foundation (founded 1982), which aims at relieving both individual stress and societal problems and violence, and which is an NGO (non-governmental organization) with UNESCO consultative status. Frequently referred to simply as "Sri Sri" (honorific) or as Guruji or Gurudev, he also established in 1997 a Geneva-based charity, the International Association for Human Values, an NGO that engages in relief work and rural development and aims to foster shared global values.
Life

Born in 1956, Ravi Shankar's father was Venkat Rama Rao, in the automobile business and director of a rural women’s empowerment NGO as well as a scholar of Indian languages. His mother's name was Vishalakshi Ratnam. He was named Ravi (a common Indian name meaning "sun") because his birth was on a Sunday, and Shankar after the 8th century Hindu saint Adi Shankara, with whom he shares the birthday. He received a bachelor of science degree at the age of 21 from St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore University.

After graduation, Shankar traveled with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, being invited by Maharishi to give talks on Vedic science, arrange conferences on the Vedas and science, and set up Ayurveda centers. He was earlier addressed as "Pandit Ravi Shankar" (or "Punditji") but in the early 1990s changed his name to "Sri Sri Ravi Shankar" after the renowned sitarist Ravi Shankar objected that the guru was using the name he had made famous.

Man Alienationn from God

Ancient Man lived in a natural state of consciousness. In this state concepts like good and the bad, perfect and the imperfect did not exist. Every action was an end itself. He never sought a purpose to his life or the Universe. Every experience was complete and total. These wise men and women were in communication with the divine. They were guided about an ensuing famine or flood, medicines for an epidemic or the right time for sowing seeds by cosmic consciousness.............

However, due to a multiplicity of factors, man moved away from his natural state and from the transcendental. ..........

THUS, SET IN THE ALIENATION FROM GOD ! ...............

Rising Above The Expectation Of Praise From Others

Rising Above The Expectation Of Praise From Others

Sometimes, we get offended or ill almost on purpose in order to receive special treatment. Out of a lack of self-esteem and insecurity, we depend on the appreciation and affection of the other, for them to value us, praise us and always to speak kindly to us. Even though they have given us many signs of appreciation, if for a few days they give us none, our inner world or our self-esteem collapses. We become dependent on what others do, or don't do, in relation to us, whether or not they nourish our self-esteem, and then what happens? We are always waiting for the other to give us something when in reality we can give it to ourselves.

Spirituality makes us experience our internal treasures of bliss, happiness, love and power. It makes us aware that we are gives, emitters and radiators of these qualities rather than takers. This consciousness helps us rise up above the above discussed dependencies and remain seated, stable on our throne of self-respect.

Anger Management and Prevention - by Shalini Katyamurty

Anger Management And Prevention

As you increase your self-awareness, you will also see how your anger begins with a moment of irritation towards a person or situation. If you then give attention to that irritation by replaying or revising the event in your mind, which is like giving water to a plant, it will grow into frustration. And if you water the frustration, it will grow into anger, which, in turn, will develop into rage.

Don't suppress and don't express your anger. What's left? Transform (change). The transformation of anger requires you to realize the root cause of your emotional pain. The realization comes by understanding deeply the self or the soul. When you see the cause it gives you a choice a) to stop creating it or b) continue creating it. Unfortunately, although many see why they cause their own anger and acknowledge responsibility for their creation, they continue to keep getting angry. They find many ways of justifying their anger. They have an 'anger addiction'. They are angerholics.

Are you ready to see the root cause? Do you want to make new choices? Isn’t it time to break your emotional addiction?

Breaking the Hold of Routine - By Kayamurty

In conversation with Mahabir Sharma and Mihajlovic Vesna - The Great Masters

Mahabir Sharma The only constant thing in life is change and all the time this change is brought by one of us and here I am back again to unite all. What we call our diversity is infect our unity ,we are seven colors of a light .All extraordinary things are done by ordinary people ... If you are you bored with life , Then throw your... self into some work you believe in with all your heart, LIVE for it, DIE for it, and you will find HAPPINESS that you had thought could never be YOURS will be your for ever….AminThis emoticon has been enhanced by Facicons

People come into your life for a reason

Badrinath Vasandi I like.

Badrinath Vasandi I am really delighted !

Thanks Badrinath ji...I would like to share a Truth well investigated by me with you all that we all human beings are infect spiritual being means spirits means souls. We all come from heaven together and return together no one will return... if there remain one ignorant .. We are known by our thoughts, Our thought are our consciousness and consciousness is life. Just as the highest tower needs a deep foundation, so are our higher thinking is based on going deep within ,if instead of seeking we start searching perhaps at the end we will realize that whatever we have been seeking lies within the quest itself. Stay original, natural and simple this will end your ego and when ego ends our heart opens like a flower and starts releasing its fragrance into the world .......Highest thoughts are churned in mind like first milk is fermented to curd and then curd is churned to get butter so are the Highest thoughts churned in mind and these very thoughts take us to the higher level of consciousness called evolution of human mind which takes ages to evolve / transform fully ..A normal soul takes billions years to evolve / tranform fully and there after can see all through the eyes of God...I am on a Spiritual Journey, striving to be a better person everyday .I have transformed myself and now I seek to transform others, as long as they are willing miracles are within us what we need is to open our heart to see them… …God Bless You all This emoticon has been enhanced by FaciconsSee More

you are right Mahabir, as always This emoticon has been enhanced by Facicons it is all in the mind, what ever we have always asked for and wished for is all in there, we have been given the mind by God as the most powerful tool in the Universe to use for the benefit of mankind, to... help others and by helping others we help ourselves too, to share love, kindness and tolerance among people regardless of the race, religion, wealth or education......
this is the only way to reach God and enlightenment and make our divine blue planet a better place for all..This emoticon has been enhanced by FaciconsSee More

Those who wants to live in peace first will have to create peace around them no one can live in peace by disturbing others.. We can not change this world but by changing our self we can change all automatically .. Let us do something wonde...rful before we die.I have decided to unite all the children of Adam & Eve fighting in the name of one God not seen by any but realised by many…

Badrinath Vasandi I am fortunate enough, rather blessed to come in contact with Mahabir Sharmaji and Mihaljlovic Vesna....to go through your words and lines, is, indeed , a transforming experience. Haved a krupa on me...

Really a class analogy...

An Old Story:The Ant works hard in the withering heat all summer building its house and
laying up supplies for the winter..The Grasshopper thinks the Ant is a fool and laughs & dances & plays the summer away.Come winter, the Ant is warm and well fed. The Grasshopper has no food or shelter so he dies out in the cold.

Indian Version:
The Ant works hard in the withering heat all summer building its house and laying up supplies for the winter. The Grasshopper thinks the Ant's a fool and laughs & dances & plays the
summer away.Come winter, the shivering Grasshopper calls a press conference and
demands to know why the Ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed
while others are cold and starving..
NDTV, BBC, CNN show up to provide pictures of the shivering Grasshopper
next to a video of the Ant in his comfortable home with a table filled
with food.

The World is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this be that this poor
Grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?Arundhati Roy stages a demonstration in front of the Ant's house.Medha Patkar goes on a fast along with other Grasshoppers demanding that
Grasshoppers be relocated to warmer climates during winter .

Mayawati states this as `injustice' done on Minorities. Amnesty International and Koffi Annan criticize the Indian Government for
not upholding the fundamental rights of the Grasshopper. The Internet is flooded with online petitions seeking support to the
Grasshopper (many promising Heaven and Everlasting Peace for prompt
support as against the wrath of God for non-compliance) .Opposition MPs stage a walkout. Left parties call for 'Bengal Bandh' in
West Bengal and Kerala demanding a Judicial Enquiry. CPM in Kerala immediately passes a law preventing Ants from working hard
in the heat so as to bring about equality of poverty among Ants and
Grasshoppers.Lalu Prasad allocates one free coach to Grasshoppers on all Indian Railway
Trains, aptly named as the 'Grasshopper Rath'.Finally, the Judicial Committee drafts the ' Prevention of Terrorism
Against Grasshoppers Act' [POTAGA], with effect from the beginning of the
winter.Arjun Singh makes 'Special Reservation ' for Grasshoppers in Educational
Institutions & in Government Services. The Ant is fined for failing to comply with POTAGA and having nothing left
to pay his retroactive taxes,it's home is confiscated by the Government
and handed over to the Grasshopper in a ceremony covered by NDTV.Arundhati Roy calls it ' A Triumph of Justice'.

Lalu calls it 'Socialistic Justice '. CPM calls it the ' Revolutionary Resurgence of the Downtrodden 'Koffi Annan invites the Grasshopper to address the UN General Assembly.

Many years later... The Ant has since migrated to the US and set up a multi-billion dollar company in Silicon Valley,100s of Grasshoppers still die of starvation despite reservation somewhere
in India, ..AND As a result of loosing lot of hard working Ants and feeding the
grasshoppers, ....
India is still a developing country…!!!

Sonia Gandhi vs. Priminister-ship of India

Sonia Gandhi vs. Prime Minister-ship of India : At one stage , there was a bigg fight on this issue. During my schooling, I was taught that the Citizenship of India can be acquired by BIRTH or by REGISTRATION or by NATURALIZATION (as the last one was granted to Mother Tressa for her longer stay in India and social service).
Further, to qualify for the Minister-ship of India by an individual of foreign origin, among other things, it is essentially required that the aspiring should be the citizen of India and such an arrangement also exists in the rules of his/her HOME COUNTRY. In these circumstances whether Mrs. Sonia Gandhi was qualified for Prime Minister-ship at that time as well also at present ? This is only for knowledge sharing and not for any political angle.

LOVE IS A PASSION AND OBSESSION

On Love - Khalil Gibran

On Love - Khalil Gibran

by Love on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 10:03pm

"When love beckons to you, follow him,Though his ways are hard and steep. And when his wings enfold you yield to him,...Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.And when he speaks to you believe in him,Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden.

For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning.Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun,So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth.

Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself. He threshes you to make you naked. He sifts you to free you from your husks. He grinds you to whiteness. He kneads you until you are pliant; And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God's sacred feast.

All these things shall love do unto you that you may know the secrets of your heart, and in that knowledge become a fragment of Life's heart.

But if in your fear you would seek only love's peace and love's pleasure,Then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love's threshing-floor,Into the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears.Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.Love possesses not nor would it be possessed; For love is sufficient unto love.

When you love you should not say, "God is in my heart," but rather, "I am in the heart of God."And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.

Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself. But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires:To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To know the pain of too much tenderness. To be wounded by your own understanding of love; And to bleed willingly and joyfully. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving; To rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy; To return home at eventide with gratitude; And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips."

Khalil Gibran - The Prophet
