Go Alone ...English Translation of Ekla Chalo Re - By Tagore

If they answer not to thy call walk alone,
If they are afraid and cower mutely facing the wall,
O thou unlucky one,
open thy mind and speak out alone.

If they turn away, and desert you when crossing the wilderness,
O thou unlucky one,
trample the thorns under thy tread,
and along the blood-lined track travel alone.

If they do not hold up the light when the night is troubled with storm,
O thou unlucky one,
with the thunder flame of pain ignite thy own heart
and let it burn alone.

  1. I think the poem motivates us to do some important tasks of our own selves’; alone; especially when we find ourselves to be stuck by evil luck; essentially due to;
    1) Lack of encouraging words and help from partners and friends;
    2) Pressures of sorrows, sufferings, pains etc., born there from; and due to;
    3) Our own inability to fight, to know rightly, and to understand and see the light of our own destination clearly;
    It guides us to drive our selves; to ensure that we not only become fearless in our efforts to do as below; but also able; for gaining good luck; and walking alone again; as well; especially for the purposes as mentioned below.
    1) For fearlessly speaking our own mind only; with whole hearted-ness.
    2) For walking on the road with thorns; with the blood soaked feet of our own self.
    3) For lighting the fire inside our owns rib cage; by our own self;
